Vladimir V. Ermakov

I was born in Karaganda city, Kazakhstan in 1970 year November 19. I was graduated from primary school in 1987 and Moscow State University named after Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov (Geological faculty, Petrology department) in 1995 (MS in Petrology). I am working in Institute of Experimental Mineralogy since summer 1995.

Current positions:

  • Researcher of Lithosphere Laboratory of IEM
  • Webmaster, system administrator of IEM Network

    • My scientific interests:

  • Numerical modeling of thermodynamic equilibrium of multi-component systems with non-ideal solid solutions.
  • Numerical modeling of convection in very viscous environments.

    • Current scientific project:

  • Numerical modeling of forming of granulit complexes (Laplandian granulit belt, Limpopo belt and other).

    • My hobbies:

  • good old Rock'n'Roll and Blues (you can see my Rock'n'Roll related references collection or view my collection of compact discs )
  • Playing football.
